PHOENIX, Ariz., July 25, 2026: Victor Larragoite is bringing something to Phoenix that the Valley has never had. As the new owner of Techtron Environmental Solutions of Phoenix, the company's eighth franchise, Larragoite will operate the metro area's first mobile laboratory for environmental testing, serving homeowners, contractors, restoration crews, and insurers.
The timing could hardly be better. Phoenix has led the nation in population growth for years, adding more than 15,000 residents in 2024 alone, and the metro now counts roughly 1.8 million households. Beneath all that new growth sits a surprising amount of history. Neighborhoods like Willo, Coronado, F.Q. Story, and Arcadia hold the densest collection of homes from the 1920s through the 1960s anywhere in the Southwest, and buyers are snapping them up and renovating at a record pace.
Those renovations come with obligations. Federal lead-safe renovation rules apply to homes built before 1978, Arizona enforces renovator certification statewide, and the city's expanding historic district overlays add environmental assessment requirements of their own. Every one of those projects needs testing for lead, asbestos, and mold before the work can move forward.
Until now, that meant sending samples away and waiting on a distant lab. Techtron's mobile laboratory pulls up to the property and delivers answers the same day, so containment, abatement, and clearance can happen without the wait.
