Techtron Environmental Solutions today announced a new franchise agreement covering three territories across Greater Atlanta, bringing the company’s mobile environmental testing laboratory to contractors, restoration professionals, property managers, and homeowners throughout the metro.
The opportunity is enormous. The Atlanta region added more than 53,000 residents in the past year and is now home to more than 5.3 million people, with one of the busiest construction pipelines in the country. Alongside all that new construction sits a deep bench of historic housing. Grant Park has been standing since 1882, Inman Park was Atlanta’s first planned suburb, and the city’s historic district rules push owners toward renovation rather than teardown. Those older homes carry lead paint and asbestos from their eras, Georgia’s humidity keeps mold a constant concern, and federal lead safe renovation rules apply to every paid project disturbing paint in homes built before 1978. For the contractors doing that work, a testing delay is a payroll problem, a schedule problem, and a customer problem all at once.
